i am thinking of buying a pitpro 125 then upgrading everything when i get the cash e.g. buy bike then get face ace forks lifan 140 race engine new shock bars ect. i know its a more expensive way of doing it but it would be more fun and experience building up a bike and eventially it would be a kinda decent china..
give me your opinions thanks aaron

I started from scratch, and had a ball building it up over 2 month period,

Only thing you have to realise is in that time you wont have a bike to ride,

When i get around to do it all again, Ill buy a bike thats already got half decent parts on it already, And when i wanna change parts, sell the part that iam gonna replace at the same time, that way it doesnt feel like your wasting heaps of money:p

Than that way you can still ride it whilst your building it up,

Most parts like shocks, engines sell really easy if the price is right,

It will also give you great experience in mechanics at the same time, My bike i built from scratch i found that i apprecate it much more than all my bikes i have just bought outright over the years!

Goodluck

its a good idea i say go for it, i did what your thinking of doing but i started off with a pitpro138 and started replacing parts

like pitmaster said its good fun and you appreciate the bike more from building it yourself
the more hands on stuff you do the more experiance you get which is allways a plus

yeah thats why i dont want to start from scratch i think thats what i am going to do i wont thrash the **** out of it or do massive jumps so i can re sell the parts i want to upgrade i have made a list and got prices for what im going to upgrade includes pro taper bars, fast ace shock or ishock, fast ace forks, lifan 140 race engine, swingarm and kenda tyres... anything else i should get tell me thanks again

just put a bid on a pitpro! cant wait for the auction to end and the bike get here what do you think is the first thing i will need to change?

just bought a pitpro 125rr last night for $570 plus postage :D cant wait to start putting new parts on it.. when i get it ill post some pictures and when i dont some upgrades

i did the same thing as you but i got my pitpro125rr for 450 bux :D, got the 140cc in it the day i bought it and then graphics, ported intake etc. you will prob need to service ya forks when ya get them depending on how much you weigh

i swear by D.I.D they last for ever if you lube them up before and after each ride, never broken one and only have to adjust the tension every couple of months compared to each hour of the stock one lol

yeah new chain wouldnt be a bad idea.. yeah ill see how the forks feel when i get it they were going to be high on my list what to replace

have to wait untill next week for it to come because they claimed they were having trouble getting stock into their warehouse :( was looking forward to a ride this weekend are well have to wait

sounds like a good idea to me if u got the cash! and would be a great learning experience to!!

what do u use to lube your chain??

yeah well i will have a steady cash flow coming in from januray so i will start upgrading then.. well i havent got it yet but on my old one i used wd40 for a while haha but yeah ill get some chain wax or something similar

chain oil, i wouldnt advise wd40 as it washes the grease and oil built up in the chain out.
