Got a YX160 China bike.. .tyres are done after 3 rides...
After a new set, and want to know what is a good, long lasting tyre, and are there any good places to order online? Cant find any Aussie sites with good range or tyre descriptions....
Cheers

Im guessing ur running 14/12 wheel set up,

Good recomendations are Kenda Carlsbads or Millvilles

Im currently running a Dunlop D756 on the rear and it is flippin sweet!!

Regards,
Carlton

I'm new to this pit bike thing, but I see a lot of bikes with Kenda Carlsbad tyres on.. They are at least a known manufacturer.. They look like higher quality then most stokers too.. I think I may have seen some on dhz.com.au.. Also have you checked fleabay?

I like millviles, I'm unsure of the differences between them and carlsbad but I know for 100bux you can get a set with tubes so there a pretty good deal

just remember. the longer they last the less grip you have.

OK, thanks for that everyone... Im gonna go with either carlsbads or dunlops... heard the dunlops are really good and last pretty well....
Everything I seem to ride on is hard packed, so gonna go with something tough...
Will probably just call my local shop and ask em to order me some... prices seem to be just as good as online....
Only other question now is do I change the tyre myself or pay the shop to do it.. is it hard to do?
Should probably set myself up with some proper tyre levers hey...

Tried many times on the big bikes and always ended up getting the bike shop to do it for me, I reckon it's a real pain in the backside and for the measly 10-20 bucks at the shop it was definately worth it.

what he said but carlsbads are ****

go with the millvilles they dont last super good but you'll be up for around 75 bux for the dunlops

I have had millvilles, carlsbad, dunlops, bridgestone and Inova's.

And I would say stay away from the carlsbad, I'm currently running a Inova front and bridgestone rear. And its a great combination, and both last a bit without sacrificing to much grip.

Got my bridgestone for $55 at my local honda dealer. And the inova from Ciniworx in pakenham and got him to fit them up, as I hate changing tyres I just end up scratching the hell out of my rims.
Might as well chuck in some rim locks while your at it as well.
