On my bike it seems to stall easy, i think i have to do something to the carby like turn the idle screw? i'm not sure what way to turn it and how much to turn it?

do i turn it then start the bike or shall i start it and do it when it is ideling?

thanks for help

Have the bike running, pick the rev's up with the throttle then turn the idle screw , let go of the throttle give it a few braps , let it idle and see if its ok .. if not repeat above until your happy.. i find 1800rpm (Warm weather) and 2000rpm(cold weather) it be a happy point on my gpx/jailing.. i've got a rpm tacho on my bike so it makes it easy for me... today it was idleing at 1600 and was fine but it was 26 degrees today i rekon.

how u mount a rpm taco on? got one lying round would like to bring revs up if i do not give it a suirt before stopping it dies

yeh, ok will try it thanks, so you turn it right or left? thanks..

um yeh answer taco question while your at it im interested on puting on on.

Righty Tighty , Lefty loosey.... Turn it right to bring the revs up, The reason i say hold the throotle open is because the slide inside the carbi has a channel cut in it at a 45 degree angle and the screw just goes in and out and the slide rests on it.

Tacho ... i'll see if i've got a pic, and will post up info later.

Found a pic on the unit i use... Got it out of the USA about $65 landed.

You just wrap a wire around the coil lead and earth the other lead and its done.. very easy to install and doubles as an hour meter when the bikes not running.

Its and old photo... bikes got 53hrs on it now.

Sure your in the right thread ?? Dont need to take the plastics off to ajust the carbi idle screw..

plastics

remove these two hex bolts under the seat

Then theres two plastic clip type things on the front edge of the tank ... two hex bolts on the top the tank shrouds , very obvious.. To remove the plastics you'll have to grab the rear gaurd and pull back wards .. the whole seat and tank plastics will come off as one unit..

There are only 6 points holding the plastics and seat onto the bike..

oh yeh thankyou. i ment for adusting my back shocky. when i do jumps it botoms out i need to make it harder if u no wot i meen

tighten it up!!!

take shock out, and do up the adjusters to make the spring tighter or get some thicker fork and shock oil for it

yeh i just need to tighten it, oil is all good

Yeah thought you were after it for getting at the rear shock, just the thread started of as a motor issue... Its easyer to take the shock out and tighten it up and then wack it back in...
