Ok i'm not an expert on bikes will let yas know that straight up but I do have some mechanical skills.

I just bought my sons a 49cc dirt bike, unsure on make but I think going by book it says oem to mitsubishi china for engine. I bought it from a liquidation warehouse for $300, just something to have a little bit of fun on the weekends with my sons.

Now my problem is the chain keeps coming off, I was told to measure it both side where bolts go to make sure they are lined up and to oil chain right up...now it doesn't do it all the time mainly when bike is revved to max turning and if u ask me when it heats up. Its easy to get back on, it's nothing major just more annoying is there a way this can be fixed or just put up with.

If it keeps coming off when its hot sound like its streched, which is pritty common with cheap china stuff, buy a new chain IMO.

sounds like a pocket bike motor in a dirt bike frame if the chain has come off once it might be bent u can use a new chain or use the current chain first off stand at the rear of the bike and look accross the rear sprocket and see if it is lined up with the smaller sprocket once its lined up put the chain on tension the chain so u only have 5-10mm play in the middle use a ruller when the bike is together ready to ride mark the axle nut with a texta (nut/swing arm)
hope i made sense?

make sure your font sprocket is inline with the rear sprocket ive had a simerlar problem with my 40cc watercooled pocketbike an make sure when your tighting the tensioners you dont pull it out of line, an put a second nut on the tensioners cause they can vibate loose an move the wheel then your sprockets arnt inline so then the chain comes off

mate what ever you do dont buy a oring heavy duty chain for it as even though they are stronger and less likely to stretch they will rob you of a heap of power because the oring cause more friction and they are heavier.
I would just adjust it regularly or put a spring loaded tensioner on it.
then again might be what divy said as this can also happen
