Ok I currently have an Atomik Prox 250cc but am looking at a Lifan 150cc as well. The thing is it needs a new complete throttle unit, kick start peg, rubber on 1 handle and foot peg on one side. I can get the bike really cheap. But...........i need to know approx. how much it's going to cost to replace these things. And if I can subsitute brands?!

Although I have one bike at the moment i am looking for another three............so all help is appreciated!!!!!:)

ok well for starters i think you may need to be more specfic to what you are talking about

photos will definately help people diagnose your problem...

china bikes pretty much take the same parts, yes you can get better parts for certain parts from more well known companys

Ok this is the bike in question.

basically i need to know where in Sydney (or, if in other sates, mailorder) I can find the following stuff for it! I don't want to buy it and then be stumped by parts.

complete throttle unit, kick start peg, rubber on 1 handle and foot peg on one side.

i couldnt see alll those parts being over $100..
but the kick stater may be a hassle to find in a local shop..

i think your best option would be ebay...couldnt see DHZ having a kick starter...
give this seller a message to confirm it will fit your engine, just be sure to tell them its a lifan vertical engine not a horizontal 1... also ask about the other items you need..

If you can get it cheap and arnt going to sell it to make profit then buy buy buy. Thats some of the cheaper parts so should be ok.

Well here's an update.

I bought the bike for a couple of hundred............ended up getting the parts for $95 and it runs like a dream! All it need now is some new plastics. And that's only because my 17 yr old daughter (who this bike is for) wants to pretty it up! I will post some pics once it finished.

But all up it will have cost me less than $400!! Bargain!!!!!! :)

yeah some you can get cheap. I bought a bike for £40, dont know what in au $$. But yeah i spent about another £50-100 on parts and paint and sold it for £330. Profit or what.
