I just bought a 2007 pitster pro x4. I have a few questions. The bike has a tb 146 big bore kit with the mikuni carb. I was wondering why it leaks gas out the over flow when i lean the bike to the right? Its also floods out when i try and do wheelies on the bike, is there anything to change the carb so it sits more flat then at an angle? My last question is when i shift into third gear the bike jerks almost like theres a tooth missing on the gear or was wondering if it might be the clutch but it just happens in third. Any help would be great thanks!!

the carb overflow and flood could be caused by a incorrect float height. the 3rd gear thing, ya got me. but it shouldnt be doing that, if you were missing a dog or tooth youd know it, itd be a very violent jerk when going in gear, if it even would go into gear at all.

Double check to make sure all bolts holding the engine in are tight and check for free play in the swing arm bearings

Ok well im not sure how i could change the float height of the carb since it has to be bolted up a certain way. Would the jets have anything to do with it? what i meant for the third gear is when im in third gear giving it consistent throttle there is a little jerk and it repeats its self on and off

To adjust float height u have to bend the floats down just a little (the bracket that holds floats to the carby

normally to lower the float level, you would bend the little centre tab (inbetween the floats), that contacts the needle, upwards
most carbys have a specific height that the floats are set at.
you measure from the face that the fuel bowl sits on/bolts up to, down to the top of the float, and adjust the tab up or down to get the required measurement.
