Bought a 24mm with powerjet oko copy recently. Then bought a 100 main jet and 36 pilot jet.

the throttle response is much better than the mikuni 26mm (from DHZ) but there is a problem with the idle.

It is idle very high (>3000rpm vs 2000rpm with the mikuni), the idling screw all the way out (slide is at bottom of slide body/carby) and the air screw is 1 turn out?

the bike have good response with slight throttle to full throttle, rpm raised and drop back to 3000rpm.

on downhill with no throttle, there is popping sound from exhaust.

any suggestion

Mate I'm finding that a little hard to read. ^^^

Got a few questions to ask,

1- What bike is it?
2- Was it "actually" originally idleing at 2000 rpm with the Mikuni?
3- did you change the throttle cable with the new carb?

Popping whilst decelerating usually means your bikes running lean which can be cause by a number of things.

1. Z50
2. Yes, idling at 2000 with mikuni. Have a tacho on the bike
3. Same cable and it is not to short or jammed.

Welcome to Miniriders

make sure you drop by and say hello in our Introduce Yourself thread too while you're here.

your bike should stall with the idle speed screw all the way out.

the OKO carbys need a longer throttle cable compared to a Mikuni.
there needs to be 115mm hanging out the end of the outer, with the cable off the bike
i had to cut back some (about 5mm) of the outer casing on my throttle cable when i changed from a Mikuni 22/26 copy to the 26mm OKO

cheers, craig
