Awesome dude, Reps for you ;) Last time i did mine i used a spray bottle with a touch of detergent and warm water, then got it in place and squigyed the water out from underneath, whats the downside of doing that way?

Cheers mate, there's no real downside really it just takes a lot longer and can't really say what is in most detergents better to have no contaminants between the two. If installing with water it's best to heat it up especially the contours and then cool it down with cold water and repeat, it's called aging the vinyl and basically sets it so it won't lift.

good video mate,

takes me back, i spent 2 years wrapping cars and allsorts as a signwriter.

it might be easier to use the masking tape lever method for some people so it dosent move off centre

brilliant though sharing your knowledge :)

Hey mate the thumbs easier and dosent scratch and you have more control, waters for ******* haha imo just drags the process out. I've been a sign writer for about 9 years now. You should see some of the things we've wrapped mate it blows some people's minds when they come back in and see their cars when were finished. Ive worked on heaps of bikes, cars, trucks, boats, guitars and even wrapped a helicopter.

Awesome job with the vid mate.. you make it look easy! ha ha... I use water myself.. recon its a bit easier for us rookies... But will be pointing people to this vid in the future..

Can you make one for the rear RHS number plate on the CRF50? Over the exhaust? One of the hardest panels around I recon cause its so bloody curved!!!

+ reps for the video brendo,

a mate has a signwriter business for 25+ years, you put him to shame !

heat is one of the biggest helpers, and applying the graffics to warm panels helps them stay stuck so much longer.
i use basically the same process working in panel shops when fitting/removing stripes, body mouldings etc etc
sometimes removing the old dry/brittle stripes and decals you need to use a caramel wheel though.

well done...
