I can't make up my mind so I've turned to you guys!
I'm doing a mechanics course and at the end I get to go for an apprenticeship..
Should I do one with cars or should I get one with bikes??

I have no idea and need to work it out soon! I'm loving working on cars so for that reason I want to do cars, but I love my bikes...

Help please guys :)

cheers.

what to you like more??
what kind of bikes, eg china mini's or full sized japs?
if it were me and i had the choice of the 2 i would go bikes...
personal opinion

If you like cars stay with them Minty ...it's a much larger industry ...more jobs ...more money ...and more choices within the industry .....

man I dig mechanic girls:)

Fullsize, dirt and road.
At first I was thinking bikes, no doubt about it, but the more I think about it the more I confuse myself lol.
I think it may be easier to convert knowledge gained by working on cars to bikes than the other way around. That's what's making me think maybe cars...

car's might lead you to more opportunity's in the future......just do what's going to interest you the most

go the cars Min. like you just said, its easier to go from cars to bikes than vice versa.. there is PLENTY of 4cyl bikes and cars around but you will be REALLY hard pressed to find a single cyl. car. Id be inclined to go the old fashioned route of carb fed engines, but these are a dying breed now days, everything seems to be EFI with computer diagnostic's etc. Same goes for Manual tranny builders.. hard to find, everyone deals with autos.

Ultimately the choice is yours, but look towards the light at the end of the tunnel and follow the path that feels right. Keep in mind its a male orientaed industry, but at the end, a female with qualifications and her own workshop, could be a GREAT new buisness venture. Im almost positive you would get a $hit load of work from women wanting an honest, price, and job done, and know that you are on 'their level' so to speak..

Either way.. GOOD **** on the 5th test to :D

keep safe n Keep us updated!

sorry bout the pic but come on.. THATS farkin funny!!

ok, as said by roost, cars could take you more directions.
but its what you would want to do. eg would you want to work on bikes all the time? cars all the time? im thinking cars wouldnt be soo fiddely simple because they are bigger/ more room to move.

I'm doing two weeks work experience at Peter Stevens in a few weeks, then after that I'm gonna find a car place to do it at... might help me make a choice.
