Improving exhaust

Will removing the baffles (packing) from the exhaust improve sound and not effect performance?

u can remove the baffle and that will make it louder and probably decrease your power because of loss of back pressure, but never remove your packing otherwise you will have the loudest crappiest sounding bike ever

if you do what i did it will improve performance.

1. take the muffler off the pipe.

2. remove the tip.

3. get out a dremel and grind away at it untill you have to it to the size that you want (preferably get it to a size where you can weld in a peice of tubing for a new tip.)

4. once you have done that cut your tip to size and weld into the end.

5. put everything back together and re tune if needed.

now once you have done this it should give a good power boost. well it did for me. i made my exhaust tip 45mm. it is a lot louder but gives better performance in my mind.
