indentify this bike.

Hey all new here , I got this bikefrom a road side collection , pulled the carb and cleaned out the fuel lines and she starts and runs however I'm not sure what I is.

The seat says Atomik on it

The engine has Ducar and is 1 down 3 up geared. I'm wondering if its had a new engine put in the atomik frame or is this the standard engine for atomik?

I'm also wondering which position the choke is on , I'm assuming its when the rod is pushed down into the carbs.

that Atomik is basically the same as the Custom Orion i fixed up, see the link in my sig

mine came with a dead Ducar in it.

what carby does it have, the Mikuni copy ?
if so, when the pin is down the choke is off

thanks for the reply mate , your bike looks cool.

the carb on the bike has have Mikuni written on them and japan a-t , not sure if the copys have the actually name written on them or not.

took it to the local bush today after sorting the tubes and a brake lever and under estimated what it would do. anything like beach sand it struggles and fish tails but other then that it will easily do 50 or 60 which for someone that rides road bikes and never really riden offroad before is perfectly fine.

I did crash due to not having proper brake. flipped over the handle bars from turning sharply to avoid a big puddle lol, goes to show how dangerous these things can be.

so now im wondering , since the front brake caliper uses the same size banjo bole as the 250cc sports bike lines I have , could I use a bigger master cylinder off a road bike ? my friend has a box of lines as he builds custom bikes and normaly replaces them with braided.

i suppose it could be possible, but just because it has the same bajo hole, doesnt meen it'll fit straight up. u may have to modify the mounting points/hols on the caliper to fit the ones of the forks ur useing. and also, r u useing the master cylinder aswell (it will probs have a higher capacity resoviour so u dont have to top up on fluid all the time) but to really help u we need some pics mate

and also the ducar engines are great. they are strong and can take a good beating. the only thing thats startin to go in my 7 year old ducar is its gearbox. but all i need is a new shift start and fork

yeah,
the china copy Mikuni's have japan ta on the side.
it is easy enough to make up some new brackets to mount another caliper.
