G'day all riders, I just wanted to bust the myth that you should not kickstart a a lifan bike if you running a high comp piston Inner rotor kit and high lift race cam. I rebulit my bike toady after a rebore and match porting intake and manifold. It is now 134cc has so much compression it is almost rediculious and with all these mods it can still be kick started no problem, you just have to kick it with balls, not half ass'd. Anybody thinking of doing the same, have fun, it is well worth the effort, it does wheelie's in every gear now believe it or not.

My CRF50 has bulk compression i have to squeeze it out or the clutch slips
 
Yeah the kickstarting problem generally starts after you go bigger than 135cc. And its not that you can't kickstart them, its just that throughout the course of time you will get kickback, especially when the motor is hot and you can do damage. I think though a lot of guys have problems when they run high compression pistons and mild cams. If you run big cams with long duration and a late closing inlet valve you will reduce your starting compression massively.

Good point mack I was hoping that might be the case, as unlike the orginal lifan cam it does not auto decompress. The cam I'm using measured 6.9mm lift. It came from akunar in thialand. custom made over there. Great service from those guys. It takes as muck effort to kick as my 250 2stroke, I was pretty amazed at all the extra compression, can't wait to flog it.

How much was the Cam??....in a different Forum they told me they were crap...so I don´t know to get one:( ...keep me posted on this issue:D
