Hi guys,

i am new to the whole scene of mini bikes and have never ridden one ever before, i use to ride bmx "street and dirt a few years back" and due to now getting older and wanting to get into something completely new i thought about getting a pit bike to jump around on and hit the trails with my brother in-laws who are motorbike crazy

I have just won the auction for this bike here ---> ( NEW ATOMIK REIGN BIGFOOT 160CC PIT MOTOR DIRT BIKE | eBay )

And all up including postage will be $1080 "i am just wondering is this a good price for this bike" i had done around 5 weeks of research on this forum and have read alot of good and bad about this brand but at the end of the day if i change the parts with something better after a wile and treat the bike with respect and do regular oil changes and other maintenance then it will last me a few years

so if i could can i please get everyone opinion on this bike and atleast then it will give me a good idea on what i am getting myself into, and also i want a bike before Christmas as we are all going away camping and the brother in-laws will all have there bikes then so i dont wanna be left out

kind regards

shane

Depending on where you live and postage price ... I think you might have paid a $100-$200 more than anyone else just looking back at the sellers feedback the bigfoot160 was selling $700-$800

Thing with most china bikes is the shocks are generally junk, blowing out, leaking, bending or snapping.. Dont get carried away with big jumps on them..

The 4 up motors tend to hold up well, issues with china motors is stripping or breaking kickstart gears, make sure you get the compression stroke and quick and smooth kick it over.. if you get to aggressive 20-30hrs down the track you might kill a gear. Not a big deal to swap out , but can be a mission trying to get a hold of one, some people have snapped the kick start shaft itself aswell..

generally give the bike a once over with the tools... nuts and bolts will most likely be loose on the bike, cross your figures and have some fun..

change the oil in the first couple hours then keep changing it around the 8-10 hour mark.

yeah unfortunately postage is $160 to my area and yeah ive read alot about lock tightening bolts when u first get it and changing oil as the oil they use is just crap, and yeah the suspension is just total shocking also so i will be getting after market ones about 1 month after i get the bike, but all in all will it suit my needs, and not going to be doing insane jumps on it either "i way 83 kilos so im a bit of a slob and im 5"8" knowing my luck ill sit on the bike and pop the tyres
