i rang the guy and he said 1000 but when you come over and look at it we can negotiate it down even more cos he needs it gone.

should i get dad to look at it cos it costs the same as a chinease pit bike or was there something wrong with the 1990 kx80's?

You sure its a 90 model. Its only got drum brakes front and rear. My 86 CR80 had front disc brakes and drum rear.
Do some research before you buy.

if i go have a look ill have a look at that something plate on the frame.(cant remember the name right now) that will tell me. and i dunno what that bit of the shock is. ill look at that aswell

This is a 1990 model. Note all differences.

If u can it for $750 or below then maybe worth it.

i seen better bikes going for the same so dont rush into the first thing u see

thats def not a 90 model, i had a 91 kx 80, had disc front n rear, my first 2 stroke was a 80 kx 80, not very much difference to the bike in question!

i used to have one when i was little and i regret getting rid of it do you reckon these would me a good pit bike with some modding

How old are you?
If you older then 12 i would recommend you save your pennies and buy something that will last any growth spurts you have. DS80 similar size to a crf70. Gunna take some modifications to make it a reliable pitbike. But resale on a jap is 10x better then a china.
25 year old jap 80 same price as brand new china 140.

mate of mine had a 86 kx 60 and the thing flew
was the scariest small bike i've eva riden and they band real good
but age was the issue with the bike
he had to get a genuine rear shock which cost heaps
he also had to rebuild it so he got rid of it

but yeah went hard as but that ones not worth a grand

the thing is though sid that ttr is 1600 and my dad doesnt want to pay any more than 850 atm

Why dont you help your dad out. Have a talk to him. tell him that you will give him an extra how ever much. At least you can get your self a good reliable bike.

I have ridden a Suzuki JR80 and theyre an awesome little bike plenty of power for such a small thing.
