Should I be worried about breaking the kick start shaft gear kick this thing over. Im only 15 and dont wanna kill myself. I think it boosts your comp ratio to 12.5 to 1.

Also what octane of gas would be good for the kind of comp ratio?
Do I need race gas?

Any idea on horsepower numbers with the g2 cam, 146. And 24mil carb.

Also, is there actually a rev limiter built into the cdi? I see you can get high performance cdi whoch are prob just eliminating the rev limiter:)
 
Hey there, i'm guessing you have the 146 kit on the jialing-gpx engine?

If you have the standard flywheel on it, then kicking it over should be fine, because the timing is still set appropriatly and you've still got more momentum to turn it over..

With the g2 cam, big bore kit and the 24mm carb, you'll be looking at 16-17hp (some guys won't believe this) but in america they have dynoed the 146 kit with a jetted carb and it made roughly 16hp
 
my worked thumpy has about 12-13 compression on it, just dont kick the **** out of it when you start it, just nice easy kicks.
My gears have lasted 1.3years, and only just now i've broken a tooth off the clutch basket cog, so i got all the gears replaced at the same time.
 
Hey, forgot to add, make sure it's at TDC/compression stroke when you kick it over, don't just kick the **** out of it as above, push down on it slowly, and let it back up, do the same thing untill it gets real stiff, let it up again and KICK :)

Lol i learned this lesson a few years ago when i started putting smaller combustion chamber heads on my go kart. and advancng the timing.

Almost ripped my socket outta of my body, no joke.
