Hey guys was riding the other week and managed to bend the shaft connected to the gear shifter going back into the gear box, was wondering if anyone has ever replaced one before and is it hard to do? It's to far gone just to bend it back

You will have to take the RH side cover off remove the clutch to get to the other side of the shaft..

and you will either have to cut it or bend it back to get it out because it pulls through the case..

Sweet so you don't have to spilt the engine then? Wouldn't have seen any threads on doing it have you?

nah, no need to split the cases,

have a look at this thread,
it doesn't explain how to remove the gear selector shaft, but will give you a general idea on how to remove/refit the clutch etc
once the clutch if off, remove the gear change lever off the l/h side,
unhook the shift arm from under the shift star
and the whole shift shaft should slide out through the r/h side case

Im a dodgy bugger and just bend it back with a shifter and hope the seal is fine, I bent mine on the 155 after a 4th gear crash and it was bent real bad and worked fine after this, if its just a lil bent you can try that at your own risk but did for me.

Nothing really to loose by bending it back aslong as you dont snap your cases in the process
