I know these motors are new but im just wondering if anyone knows if these are any good and what kind of power they are making? Like the idea of the Daytona style oil filter and the motor almost looks the exact same as the late Chinese Built Daytonas. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between these 2 motors? Could be my new motor if i dont get too much negative feedback.

will i have the 08 vert pro and it has the daytona 125 in it and the thing absolutely honks i am woopin 140's so i would say the 150 has gotta have some punch

yx-lifan

Yeah thats what i thought, what about compared to the yx style 150cc cause thats most of my mates have got in the pitster pros etc?

ya mate i reckon they will be no difference with either of the 150's if anything i reckon the daytona will be better not sure tho never seen one in action but it would be my bet:)

150cc

yeah daytona would def be an option if it wasnt 2 grand. might wait to see how much the Daytona 150cc is gonna be

yeah after the first couple of rides on mine they smoke

they have alot more useable power than the yx the yx is a short stroke motor and rev's out to quick and doesn't through the power right through the rev range
you will need to chuck a set of heavy duty clutch springs in the lifan

dom at citymotorbikes reckons he hasn't had any problems with his but when ya sell them to kids you shouldn't

i know of 1 that has lunched second gear but the rider give's it a **** fight hard time

for the coin the lifan is the way to go!!

lifan

Yeah had trouble in the past with the lifan 2nd gear on my original 110cc, got the ducar 125cc and havent had any dramas as yet but its still pretty new.Wouldve been keen as to keep the 125cc but everyones stepped it up so its time for a upgrade. Anyone know of a secondhand 124se haha cause id be keen.

Yeah i love mine. Seriously fast with my 67kg weight on it. Havnt had any dramas yet. Just a few faulse neutrals, but thats my fault. I think if you ride one of these engines like a big bike it will destroy the gearbox. A little too much power i reckon. Just go easy on the flat changes and clutch fanning and it will go forever. Just remember they are only a glorified postie motor. Interestingly though i am almost two seconds slower on our track than i was with my 140. I would say cause im struggling to keep it under control now.:D But man is it fun to ride now. I can just pass my mates on their 140s whenever i want. Do yourself a favour and get one. you will love it.

So now its time for an suspension upgade:D...much more importent than the engine!;)

150cc

Yeah just waitin for my Fastace front end to arrive then ill be slotting one of these lifan 150 suckers in i reckon.Should be a straight bolt up to a crf50 fast 50s frame shouldnt it?

haha having a motovert pro no need for suspension upgrade
