Lifan 150cc gearbox

he all im new to this forum and had a couple of qestions,
m tdr pro is about 3 years old and it doesnt go into third or sometimes it drops out.
was just wondering if i need a new gear box or something and how to do it lol ty

the gearbox might need shimming up to take up some play?
it could also be worn shift forks on the shift drum too?

what sort of mechanical knowledge do you have ?
what would be the hardest thing you have taken on and fixed ?
