Lifan Engine

Are Lifan engines any good in bikes, i thought the most common engine was the ducar??

my lifan has done thousands of kms and i have thrashed it to, i went for a ride before and she still hammers. i have had it for nearly a year now

There right lifans are better than ducars even though retailers claim ducars are better. Lifans and Loncins are very similar either one is a great engine. I have a Loncin and my friend has the Lifan we both flog the hell out of them and they still go fine. We got our bikes up to a max of 96km/h with the stock 14t front and 41t rear running 12'' rear wheels.

everyone keeps saying that the lifans are better than the ducars, why is this? Can somebody please explain using some logic and sense?

sorry but ive had a lifan and now ive got ducar but they go the same but this DUCAR in my bros avenger will kill any lifan i race motovert 125cc the one with the non USD forks kills them for dinner but lifan will last longer

better build accuracy (they pay more attention to inlet manifold sizes, valve sizes etc etc...) just overall quality is better, material is better built etc...

speed wise there is little difference but the lifans have been more reliable than the ducars generally. sometimes you will get a freak ducar which will really run hard and really well but more often than not, you will spend more time fixing them than you will in a lifan. remember Ducars are made cheaper than your lifans or GPX engines which would generically suggest that the lifan and gpx are just plain and simply better build quality and better materials which is true.
