Looking at a XR

Im looking to do a large trip nxt yr up to the cape , looking at a xr400/600 , have around the 4k mark to spend , also interested in the drz , but i need a bike that will do a cape trip and beyond

any bike suggestions you may have , any large tips to be told

am 40 and have decided its time to ride my dreams , i have been to the cape in my cars but i wanna bike it up there , also the desert , but im really keen on long endurance rides on thumpers

XR600 for sure Snitch...I had a 99 model back around 2001 and I was indestructible, heavy...but indestructible.

Would be perfect to eat up the big k's...

i was thinking the same , dont want a real late model just a bullet proof 99 to 01 typ , can not get the trip out of my head , got 3 mates very keen on big bikes , or a good friend on some posties

really wanna build a tourer tho as i wanna do a few trips , looking at the desert also

Tt600 ... there is a guy in QLD with a heap of enduro/army spec ones.. i'll find his details, my boss brought one, flew over & rode it back to WA

What about a Honda dominator? 650 an built to do what you wanna do, or even a KLE650
