I am looking at rebuilding a 125 or 250 with my son. Largely to teach him some skills and to have some fun.
I rebuilt a KX500 two stroke a few years back and the problem I have, looking back was the cost of the spares and availability. It was a ~1987 model, which understandably the manufacturer can not provide spares for ever.
I was looking for some advise on what a good make/model/age bike to rebuild would be. Availability of spares and cost being an important factor in that decision.
Reading around the net a lot of guys have said the KX125 is really cheap on spares.
Any advise from other who may have done the same?
