main jet with drill?

hi guys,
i was just wondering if i got a 1mm drill bit and drilled my mainjet what size would it turn it to???
 
if you drill it out the stock mikuni jets are 95 it would make it a 100 i think ive had one drilled and it was fine.
 
I've drilled out valves in suspensions to improve adjustments, but drilling out a carby jet is a bit dicey in my opinion. But if it works, it works!

Yeah, I think grabbing the Black and Decker and hoping you're drilling straight might not be a good idea. The better the kit, the better the job.
 
thanks for the info guys,
i finnished tuning the carby and my bike runs sick now so im now thinking about gearing at the moment im running 14/37 but i want more top speed so i was thinking 16/41

what do you all think is a good set up for more top speed but i dont want the bike to bog down in 1st or 2nd because i know sometimes they bog down if you try to get too much top speed
 
There is almost no difference between the ratios above (37/14=2.64 and 41/16=2.56) it is only a 3% change.

What are you running at the moment.
 
you've got it wrong way around divy!, bigger rear = acceleration
 
yeah i know but ive heard 16front an 41 back is a good set up

i have 14 front an 37 rear well i think the rear is 37 ive never counted it lol


so what would be a good set up for more top end?
 
Well I wouldnt buy 2 new sprockets and possibly a new chain (it will need to be longer if you go up with both) for a 3% change in ratios.

If you want a bit more top end wack a 15 on the front and see how it goes.

i have a 16tooth front laying around so what should i put on the back???
