Ok guys, I am going to be setting my bike up for motard riding..

All i need is money.. And with christmas and work I should be able to pay for my new obsession.

First of all.. Tyres and rims! I have seen DHZ and they sell motard rims and ****, but they are pretty dear.. (65 and 70bucks)

Wondering if you can pick them up cheaper, and with the choice of red hubs with black rim?

and Tyres, I have already found that I will need to be spending about 200 bucks..

Bridgestone Battlax seem to be pretty good with '08 jun. aus. #1 using them and another one of my mates and they seem to do the job..

Also Dunlop TT92's I have seen no_crf and londin use them...

And Sava, which A couple of people I know use and like them..

And PMT look the goods, and PMT's seem to stick as I use them on all my pocket bikes. But they are like 300 a set so thats out of my price range..

Second, Axle Sliders, where do I get them? DHZ have them, 49 bucks seems good, but do I need them? they look kool so thats half the thing lol..

Third, bark busters, most of the motards I have seen use them, so yeah, I will probz get them aswell. Probz also save my grips and levers from getting damaged. So what brands and models are best?

Forth, in the long run, I wouldn't mind a cool looking pipe, either under the engine, like motard style or just a twin pipe system..

Fifth, Motor, the Lifan 140 donk it already has seems pretty good when I'm just starting, but with next year coming up and the Aus. titles, I might need a new motor as I will be moving upto seniors :D and I think they are aloud 160's.. but that wont be for a while, everything else on the bike, suspension and stuff seems awesome.. Havent gotten out of second gear yet in the backyard.. lol.

So my question is! what do you guys recommend for the things I have stated...

thanks Ty....

gotta be joking bro.. Lakeside is a hole..

I will be racing at archerfield.. Its 10times cheaper and not filled with knobs! lol.

But for the titles I will need a catch can, was thinking of just using a V can or something like that.. I got some Pink fuel line today so I can show that off lol.

lol how can you say ya suspension is good when ya riding in your backyard and only just getting into 2nd gear, go jump it or run some high speed corners and really push it, that's how ya test it.

Good luck with the build and hope ya clean up mate :D

I didnt really mean "gangsta" lol, Im going riding tomorrrow and will test it out there. It will be dirt with bumps and things so i can test sus. and open it up..

this is going to be interesting. What are you planning to do to the motor?
and what about breaks?
looks a pretty solid frame. should be expecting some decent tard :)
get a wiggle on i wana see some pics :p

ok mate, will get some progress pics... before and after.,

Dude, about time we see you on a motard ;)
I would say that the two most important things are
1) Tires
2) Suspension

Then brakes, big motor etc.

I'm overseas until mid Jan so will take some time before i'm back on the iron horse!
