Just after some feed back to make for some closer racing at the next mini moto race.

My thoughts are to ditch the China class and give them the choice of running in either 10" amature- 10" pro or 12" amature- 12" pro.

keep all the other classes the same.

any constructive criticism would be handy

Cheers
Matt

the way our club is set up is

people under 16 years by themself

A grade
B grade
C grade

a grade is for the fastest ppls......... then b for semi fast ............. and c for new ppls still getin the hang of the sport.

we used any whell combo of whells no bigger the 12inch in each class,, so 10inch ppls can race 12inch ppls if they want

Why get rid of the China class? I thought it would be one of the most popular classes there. I couldn't see how good it would be on a Z50 around that track. Which class/s was the lowest subscribed?

i reckon the classes should be

stock 50
mod 50/ 88

110--- if the numbers are there
125cc
138cc/ 140cc
150cc
unlimited ---which is for bikes with more power than 150cc......guys from lower classes should be able to race in the unlimited to make up numbers and make for some intresting racing

ive seen guys on 88's beat guys on 150's so i reckon lowered power bikes should be able to race out of their class, which has worked out at sambra really well with sparow wining a few unlimited races on his 88.

getting 3 different classes would be a good idea ....A-B and C grade that way it makes for alot closer racing, all depends if your mates are in the same class as you...... but yer ohwell ..........racing is jut a bit of fun ......it doesnt bother me

the a b and c grade thing worked well out at dazza's

apart from people intentionally underestimating there skillz and winning lots

the pro class and amature class takes care of that

Hey Guys,

This is a little off topic.

I am located in Western Sydney and am interested in Racing for some fun.

Can anyone tell me who holds these events, like who runs the series and where the events are held in sydney.

Thanks in advance guys.

Im basically thinking of this so the china's arent descriminated from the rest of us. Chinas these days should be able to hold their own against big money klx's etc.
Im rulling out going by engine size.. theres too many different kits and engines out there.. i dont need to be pulling down engines at the end of the day.
The Grade system could work, the only problem is the speed difference between someone on a stock 50 and someone on a 150cc. It would make it dangerous. Its not as easy to class these as big bikes thats for sure.

A Z50 would do everything a stock 50 would do and more around these tracks. Although this will always be the smallest class. Hence why i didnt run it at Schuies.

Classes work great at the moment , everything is spot on. Just intergrate the China bikes into the suitable classes but they still must comply with the same regulations as the bikes in that class.

but that sux it will mean i cant race my 150
isnt it classed 12" up to 146cc or somthing like that

dunno makes it hard but heaps of fun

and stockers hold there own in the tight stuff

Depending on the numbers and Z50's being close to stockers lap time wise maybe combining those two classes could be a good idea. I don't think it would be to fair on the chinas throwing them up against KLX's etc when some of their engines alone are worth three times as much as a decent stock china bike. Was the China class low on numbers? We're all keen to see the results as well.

i dont think it matters how much the engine costs.. its not a most expensive bike comp. The 150's etc will hold their own against 143 klx. Thats the biggest cc klx we had at schuies.
The china class was 2 classes at the start of the day. but couldnt fill the gates for the final. If they are spread through the 12" amature and pro class all the classes will be full the whole day.

z50's smoke the stock 50 class. I ran them together at the race at my place.

cheers for all the replies.. gives me something to think about ;)

HRI it olny dangerous if the 50cc rider is super slow compared to the 150cc rider and if that was the case u put the 50 in c and the 150 in a or b

but if they both laping at the same time it not dangerous if they in the same class
