Mini Riders Not Working After 6pm

Hi Guys,

I have been having a problem getting onto MR after roughly 6pm. I have tried 3 different Internet connections (Optus, Telstra etc) last night to no avail. I cannot even ping the site from multiple machines. Are there bandwidth limitations or something causing this? I know other members were on last night but I couldn't. This has been happening more and more frequently to the point that it happens every night.

I know I'm not the only member experiencing this (I think Spoonta was is having the same problem). Any ideas would be appreciated.

dunno mate ...sounds like you know a bit more than me ....weird was on last night ... it's slow out here and a storm made me give up in the end ....but that was my conn though.

oh, and though im broadband...barely ever get over dial up speed...nowhere near what im paying for...
and has my nasty email earnt a response yet? no. so i run outta credit, im unlocking my modem and getting a diff provider

I don't know what the go is but I have a feeling it's on the MR server end. Maybe bandwidth for the site being exceeded and only allowing x amount of people on at once?? So it's pot luck if you do or don't get on?? Incorrect DNS records on a DNS server I use maybe?

Is this the IP of the site: 67.222.3.142

Might try and use that to see whether it is DNS related or not tonight.

I only have problems with MR. Everything else is fine.

I always get on and off when I want to.
Perhaps it only lets the cool people on after 6pm.... no that can't be right it lets I_THUMP and BigM on.


It does seem particularly weird though. It's strange that some people also have trouble with the site being slower, yet for others (like me) it's faster.
I've never had trouble getting on since it changed over, yet once in a while on the old MR it wouldn't let me log in. Who knows??

My drop down box and search function still don't work though.

i have nea had an issue with this site eva

yet constant complaint confuse me to no end

i'll let the techies know and see if they can shed some light

Who actually administers the site?

I would be happy to speak to the techies in there talk. This is my profession so I'm sure we could figure it out. There is definitely an issue there.

well i administer the site

but atm we have a crew of so called guru's running the technical side of things

and well no there not real helpful

i'll have a chat to the owner and see if i can get a conversation happening for ya

I would tell them to check there DNS records from there web hosting company (possible Instra). I'm guessing people using one server are getting through and people using other aren't because of a bad record. If I can get on tonight via the IP address then BINGO that's the problem.

Mine use to fail every day. i could access it once a day, then after that it would say the webpage isn't there. so i'd jump on a proxy site and use that to access it again. It has been better this week though.
