Minimotard insurance question

hey fellow mini riders, got a dilema.
I live in a small country town which has a go kart track in it. They recently started up the club again and the track is getting resurfaced and we want to race minimotard on it. So i approached the president and they said they applied for the mini insurance but was going to end up being too much so they didnt get it. Now im wondering is there anyway we can join up a minimotard club somewhere and use the insurance on our track up here? All has to be legit as i dont want the club getting shut down but im sure once we got out there and put on a show more people would join. If anyone has a suggestion post it up.

Minimoto Insurance

Hi Stubsy.
Which town & state do you live in?
At Melbourne Mini Moto we recently changed over to Transwest Insurance.
It's the same insurance as the Australian Karting Association uses.
It covers us for all AKA tracks Australia wide.

Thanks alot. I live in Moranbah, Qld. Its 2 hours west of mackay. So are we able to join your club or would we have to organise our own insurance?? The local kart club just got their insurance and it cost them 9k for the year and was going to be an extra 6k for the minimotos which they wanted but could afford. Is their anyway we can affiliate with another club?

I'm not sure if you can affiliate with another club or have to organize your own insurance. Best bet contact Dazza at oz minimoto.
