i wanna do some things to my atomik RS (BSE) i was looking at the race cdi on ebay are they any good or what else is there thanks alot.

The ones on ebay are'nt worth a pinch of shit mate. I had one, and the exact same bike with a standard cdi beat it in a straight line. They dont last very long before they die too. I know some people say they've had good ones but it must be hit and miss to get a good one. I had 1 on my last pitty and it seemed ok but the new one did nothing.

Everyone seems to have a different opinion on those... and mines the opposite of 01nutracing lol... i think they are great! Bought one ages ago for around 25 bucks including postage slapped it on and i'd say it made a huge difference, my bike even sounded more powerful with it lol. For the price you can't go wrong really. Maybe it's just a mental game lol... It's supposed to make it more powerful so you think it is? i dunno...

I think you guys are expecting way to much from them,they are by no means a bolt on power gain they simple remove the rev limiter and allow higher RPM thats it nothing more nothing less.

What size engine is it?

Im pretty sure if you go bigger with the carb its gunna have better punch up top but if you jet and tune your stock carb perfect you will make good power.......lol why does everyone think bigger is better.

do some searching there is loads of info on here regarding carbs and what mods to do to gain more power just depends on the $$$$$ you got

Few bits and pieces that could actually give you reasonable to large power gains:

- DHZ outer rotor kit , adj ignition maps and heaps better than a shitty IRK: $99
- Oko vm26mm carb kit , port and polish the included manifold : $130
- Have the head ported by Fusedmini's : $75
- Decent uni filter for the new carb: $25
- Homemade head breather , remove top tappet cover , Drill hole. Tap thread insert brass hose fitting. Relieves crank pressure build up and allows higher revs : $2 for the brass fitting
- Try some alternative gearing , depending on how you ride and where you need this 'power' - $40 for a rear sprocket , $10 for a front from Egay
- Try a different style of cam from Akunar
- 143cc-????? bore kit , lifan bvh : Depending...

the cams alone make a big difference...dhz or ...whats this akunar mob? never tried anything of theirs...never heard of em before, really...

ah well, gpx race cams on ebay, worth it...change the springs at the same time though...

uhhh... I feel a little stupid but what exactly is an Atomik RS (BSE)? I have never heard of it and it's not listed on there site.
