Requirement : To go faster

How:
Option 1. Loose weight
Option 2. Upgrades :)

The choice was simple

1 x Complete YX140 Head 28/24V, port & polished to suit 57mm Bore
1 x A7 Camshaft to suite
1 x 57.00mm Head gasket and accompyaning Base Gasket
1 x 57.00mm Piston Kit
+ a few other bits and pieces

The guys from AKUNAR were fantastic with all info i needed & fast too

I wanted to go bigger on the valves but i'll take their word for it, they could have easily up-sold the bigger valves but they didn't. Just sold me what suited me -

One of their replys to my questions (within 2hrs!!)

Hey,

No problem!

Honestly trying to go bigger wouldnt be the desired idea. Keeping in mind the piston itself is 57mm. And the desired difference in valve size between inlet to exhaust simply put should be about 3-4mm meaning the tried and tested 30/26mm setup would not allow enough room for cam overlap and the piston would need to be shaped to its edges which means it will no doubt break. We have done a long time ago a 29/24.5 and for a customer 30/24 both of which did not perform better than the 28/24V Head. The other reasons is purely that the right velocity is met at 28/24 for that piston size. Any larger in the valves and the mixture velocity tends to slow down abit just like over porting manifolds and such. We still have a Jialing125 with 58bore and 66.5mm stroke using a 28/24V head and did use a 30/26 on it but the 28/24 pulls far better. We would say its beneficial if the piston size is 59 or 60mm. You will obviously need to bore out your cases however.
The piston is 6.5mm dome.
Yes, the head is ported and polished. Not polished enough so you can see your reflection in it but what is needed yes.

Thanks again

Bring on FOTM & the track!

wat about each?? im keen on a head but not sure about it and jst wanted to know a price, does the head come with the cam?

very nice n cheap bits
hot looks , hot laps , gets my fotm vote.
when are they due?

Paid :

1 x Complete YX140 Head 28/24V, ported etc to suit 57mm Bore with A7 cam & HD springs $225
1 x 57.00 mm Head gasket and accompyaning Base Gasket $10.00 USD
1 x 57.00 mm Piston Kit $27.20 USD
1 x Delivery $59.39 USD
+ other litte bits

I don't really need the HD springs or A7 Cam as I already run those. But I hate fitting valve springs so for an extra few bucks it's worth it. SO I might be selling old head with cam and springs :) as well as my spare motard because it's never seen the track.

I paid for the stuff so fingers crossed i get it in 10 or so days.

Motor should be coming out today to get painted flat black. Going for the stelth jet plane look. Replace all the bling parts with simple black or silver. see how it goes might change my mind, either way it's all fun to get back into riding again. I feel like i'm 17 again not 35! hahahha

we are gunna have to step it up !!
would you sell the cam ?how much for just the cam?

he certainly knows hes stuff and really goes out hes way to help

its guys like these that keep the 50 scene really alive
