Mornington Peninsula/Melbourne

Hi guys,

A while ago my wife and I flirted with the idea of getting pit bikes to race in dirt and motard form, this was while we were in Brisbane but we have since moved back to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.
We are again thinking of getting some pit bikes to hoot around some private land and to race. I'm curious as to how many people ride down here. I've called into the Braaap shop in Frankston and they seem to organize a lot of rides but they seem only for Braaap owners, I'm not interested in being one...

Are there any genuine races down this way or are they all just ride days?

We Race dirt down here with the vintage and classic motocross guys
there's a thread in the events section with some info the first race is in taralgon on the 22nd of april

for motard you can ride at la mans in dandenong every second wednesday they hold the state champs in warrnambool and they had an organized race in phillip island this year on the day of the aussie superbikes which was cool
