Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has tryed this theory when running in there motors.. wat he says seems to make sense but im still a bit scared of loading my new motor up the way he says to when i get it.. Has anyone used this technique before?

Dave

i saw that before, sounds true, should influence people.

My opinion is that go 50/50 with ur run in revs, dont let it run on idle and dont over rev.

I wouldn't run in a motor any other way.

Run in is simple. No tricks. The more you warm it up and cool it down the better. Don't overev it but don't ride it like a pussy.( I never run anything in less than flat out like i'd race it. Never had a prob either)

I can vouch for this method. My only concern would be the tolerances of chinese manufacturing. So i think after initial start up letting it idle for a min or so just to get everything oil and any blemishes on the running surfaces sorted then take it for a quick spin going through all the gears then dump the oil and put some good mineral based oil in and run in as per motoman!
