Good work doggy, should make this a sticky... i reckon you (or someone who knows a bit about it... Rach88???) should add info/rules/regs on Rec Reg for those states that can get it...

This thread has been a long time coming.

I know a tonne about registration & licensing in VIC. Anyone needs any questions answered let me know.

Nice copy and paste technique's there bulldog!! :D

Hey
I have just been on the phone to vicroads about rec reg and road reg on pitbikes, his calling me back monday with all the info so we can finally set the record straight. But he believes that you can still get rec reg for pitties and there is even a possible path of getting road reg now. Which I'm finding totally crazy as I have always believed that the bike had to have a compliance plate and it was very hard to get one after you brought the bike. Apparently if you class you're pittie as a scooter for the inspection it's easier to get the bike to pass.. b/s or not I will tell you monday!

Oh and they don't judge by jap or china.. guy on the phone seemed to think vicroads hates them all.

I'll let ya know more on monday.

MOST (Motorcycle Operator Skills Test)

Found this for rec rego in VIC:

Hey rach did you find that stuff out?

Nar vicroads never called back. I should of expected that! But I have found out some info on my own. Rec reg on pitties is still fine in vic it just still needs to meet all the regular requirements.

There is ways of getting other pitties then rx's adr approved... Do you really wanna know?? lol coz it will be confusing to explain but I can try my best if anyone gives a crap! Call vicroads and say how do I register a non-adr scooter and they can explain it to you instead ha ha!

I have just explain this to someone in the room and they said its so confusing... ha ha. I will write up something when my brains working and post it for you in good detail. But I'm sorta stuck coz i dont have all the details. Like I need more info that vicroads can't give me... like who knows where does metal testing? lol
