DHZ RACING SWINGARM HEAVY DUTY ALUMINUM

Remove the Motovert swinger and check that all measurements are the same first (length and inner widths especially) ! Things to watch for are the swingarm pivot bolt diameter (some bikes run a 12 mm pivot bolt and older bikes run a 10 mm bolt) and also the shock mount bolt height off the swinger centreline ... If it's a different height , it could be out enough to mess up the swinger angle on some frames and cause bad chain rub and wear ...

As for your stock swinger ... what bolts etc are worn ? The pivot bearings and bolt are replaceable ...

Stupid allen key design on the end of the axle , cant seem to find the part in , took to pitbike shopthey sead call motovert , called them they sead its different design bolt and they cant source it

Hey mate

If your 100% sure the Pitster Pro Swingarm will fit then the DHZ will not fit. They are different lengths and the biggest issue is the shock mount position. Have a look at the affect the two styles had on my bikes ergos :

Have you considered just going the GPZ swingarm mate. Its like the exact same swingarm in terms of dimensions and build quality, its just black.

i got a billet one for sale thats the same dimensions as the x4r and gpx?

^^^ Jump on it MV, its an SSR one if I'm not mistaken, and there quality is tops!

^^ Hahah, yeah that piccy is from over a year ago, don;t know how I got away with it lol But its now a HD RK chain and she is tensioned beautifully ;)

Thanks for backin' up what I was saying with your pics Carlts ... As they say "A picture speaks a thousand words" .

I can see what his problem is now ! His swinger appears to have hardened inner "spools" running on needle roller bearings with hardened bushes pressed into the swinger arms .

A few years ago I bought two "Billet" (ie Vacuum cast alloy) swingers off DHZ that have a similar setup to the Motovert . I wanted to use them on frames that take a 12 mm pivot bolt but when they were delivered they had that weird bearing setup and 10 mm pivot bolts and since the swinger ends are tapered I don't think they could be safely machined out bigger to run ball bearings . I also figured that once the needle roller setup developed slop it'd be a PITA to find replacement bearings :S
