Got this sad looking motovert 110 today from a lad at work who had plans on fixing it for a young fella for xmas, after a reasonable quote and not having much mechanical skills he was swaying towards a BBM110 and i asked if he would sell, he said yes so i payed him the $70 he had paid for it and im happy as, i love the 10" rear and A style swinger. Will finish the klx style build before starting this one, but yeah whats ya thoughts peeps.

Haters gonna hate Phil lol. She needs some work but I won't pretty this up, I'm gonna do the things I need to and just ride/thrash it wooooohoooooo:)

sometimes i can get 3-4 for $200

but they were used questionably by people running questionable things and usually have a rim bent to a shape of a gutter.... like i give a **** its a good deal :p

at $70 thats an awesome deal, cant find them that easy anymore. motovert's were great bikes

Great buy Mick for $70 are you going to upgrade the 110 or leave it stock. What plans do you have for it
Gonna leave the 110 rod, after having the 155 with v2 its more on the serious side at times, where a 110 is more on the fun side as in you dont have to respect the throttle so much and you can throw it around harder, have had a few 110 but not recently so im extra excited hahaha.
 
Well, got adventurous today and kicked the vert in the guts, upon starting it was ticking quite loud and noisy, I pulled the top end off and removed the barrel and piston. Wasn't much to see until I was spinning the crank and noticed the rod was rubbing on the crank webbing, so either the rod is slightly bent or there is excess wear in the big end bearing(is a bit more sideways movement than normal), the crank webbings are in alignment and the gap for the rod is even throughout.

May install another crank but will evaluate it before I do anything. One of the foot mount bolt holes is now a drain hole as someone installed a bolt to long for it and punctured the case and one bolt has also been snapped off inside the case. Not a happy little very but she will run again sometime soon :)
 
All good rod, the engines back together and running and still ticking from the Conrod and crank touching, but will leave it in and thrash it hard until something goes, its the first donk I have seen this happening on. That's the beauty of 2nd hand bikes be it a tdr or motovert, they all hate neglect.
 
That is so true Mick i have found that out with the pitpro 125 im fixing up only had 150ml of oil in the motor and i bet its the crap oil it comes new in it . I put new oil in it and started it and it was smoking out the muffler big time but once it warmed up it was ok. I have another lifan 125 i can pull the topend off but the more i look at this bike the more i cant belive how negleted this bike has been.

I know mate, this bike needs heaps of stuff as it is and i was relying on the donk being usable, i actually got the dremel in on the rod and shaved it in the sections its hitting a tiny bit and relieved a little noise but when i get the bike in a ridable condition...damn is this motor gonna cop it hahaha. Wasted 4 hours today trying to bandaid something i should just put a match to. But when i look back at her and see that 10"rear wheel my heart melts, so she will live for a f'n long time.

Thanks jace, yeah the klx is still happening(priority in the build list haha), im just trying to have a break from most things lately and mainly get a ride in when i can, the motovert wont be prettied up to much at all and wont be babied, but will be maintained just like the current ride with the 155z and v2, any bike is worth looking after as they rarely let you down and we all have had that drama bike that everytime you ride it ****s itself lol. Consistent maintenance sees me rarely breaking down, which is a godsend when all you want to do is have a ride and enjoy ourselves.

Sounds nasty as mate, I'd be doing the same just ride the hell out of it or hook some nos up to it and do some straight line runs.
 
hahahaha, thanks dude, yeah ill just thrash it and should nos it up mmmm, just got a $220 fine from qld swine, so she will have to wait a little longer to get fixed haha. Happy new year orificer

bahahahaha, the orifice-R, ya know when ya got that older than 50 bloke that cant remember how to shift gears in a manual car so he sits in 2nd and does 35 the whole way, well didnt i think i was smart when we hit double lanes and passed him lol, NOT SO SMART NOW BOY.:car:.............:mod::lol_hitting:[
