Just a few questions:

I need to know if the bike and shocks are strong enough to do small jumps etc with a 75kg rider, and what some basic maintenance requirements are, if anybody could help.

Also, what are the best tires for someone who is going to be doing 50-50 street and dirt riding? the cheap chinese ones on there are wearing out really quick an approximate price would help too.

The rear wheel also seems to be hitting the exhaust when I take it off a small jump, I've tightened up the shock as much as possible, what else can be done?

The chain is also quite loose (It has stretched a lot since new), whats the best thing to do? Can I just remove some links (how?) or do I have to buy a new one (how do I find out the length needed, and how expensive is it)

Sorry about all the questions, I'm new to owning a motorbike so I have a lot to learn :)

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks, Patrick.

best off buying a new chain , and every chain comes longer then needed so you can cut it down to your own size , with a Chain breaker , or using a grinder

Id say just get Some kenda carlsbad's.Good tyres for the price!

And maybe get a new shock? not sure i cant help you on that question

Essential parts you will need for that bike to at least give you some hassle free riding would be

Tyres - as mentioned the Kenda tyres are good for there price and will result in less punctures because that rubber on your bike now will only need to look at a prickle or thorn to get a puncture. When putting on a new tyre get a decent tube as well and just keep the old one for a spare. A rim lock in the rear wheel is a good cheap option to install while the tyre is off aswell.

Chain - Get a new chain of good quality coz that one will break and leave you stranded.

Rear shock - That rear shock is not good for jumping coz it will bottom out all the time which will put extra stress on the frame and foot peg mounts which can break and will leave you feeling quite sore when the mounts do break.

Foot Peg Mounts - If you are planning on jumping then a set of heavy duty foot peg mounts will save you some injury when the stock ones break.

Bars - A good set of bars is always a good idea

Thanks for that advice - where can I find a good shock and chain from? and how much would that cost me? I've only got $50 left after buying it.

with the wheel hitting the exhaust i have made up a bracket on my bike to move it across and out the way.

i just bent up a bit of aluminium. but it was a bit weak so i put a bolt right through and used lots of washers as spacers and now it seems strong enough
