Had the $20 special Honda QR50 out today trying to sand the plastics back to an unfaded colour, being a little bored i started the old girl up and in no time at all my little 2yo nephew jace had torn thru the gate and under the house to find out what was goin on, so i took him for a few laps around the yard and he wanted to pose for a photo after, def got 2stroke in the blood.

haha cheers tommy, will get some pics when the plastics are up to scratch also.

so what you doing to the plastics? sanding them back?... wont that be all ruff ?
They were very rough, so im sanding them with a fine wet and dry, and will then hit them witha finer wet and dry and you wont even see a scratch on them mate, then some polish to finish off, i wont get them to 100% factory red but near enough to make it look nearly new, the tank is very smooth now and cant notice any scratching from the first process with a rougher sand paper.

start with the edge of a decent razor blade, shave the faded plastic off,
thats how i fixed my DS80 plastics.

Yeah i just saw a youtube vid about that, i still have the rear plastics to do and will try this for sure, the tank though kinda curves inwards and this wouldnt work so well but i have sanded it smooth anyways, but gonna try the blade next, thanks mate
