just took it to samford on a friends property. it went well. the motor is ment to be a lafan 140cc but it does not say lifan on the motor at all. so i dont no but it a grate bike i recommend it.

hey steggs
i'm guessing you got the bike off onlinebikesnbits and are still waiting on your pro tapers aswel?
its a nice bike indeed i have one identical and you will find it to go nicely.
In regards to the engine if you look on the engine casings you will find a sticker saying either 1P55FMJ then some numbers or 1P56FMJ then some numbers. These are the lifan motors and they go good.
Have you done a full pull down and locktight on yours yet? or changed the oil?
if not then the things to note if yours is the same as mine that your fuel drain screw may not be tight (forgot to check it and it pissed out fuel) fuel tap not tight (don't overtighten tho) your chain will be wayyyy to tight, mine had no slack it in what soever and you will snap the chain quickly that way. Also if you can or have a mate that can i would recommend getting your spokes tightened as mine has about 1hrs riding on it so far and some of the spokes need tightening, not loose but not tight enough. Other then that man get out there and ride the hell outta it

um have not put oil in but will soon i did a small pull down today um the over flow off the cabe seems to drible i gess it the fuel drain thing you where saying. the rear spok seems fine the frount one is very loose. the swing arm bolt was loose aswell o and do you think the pro taper bars will be much higher then the stock ones.

from what i can gather of the pro tapers is they don't sweep back as far as the stock ones
like i'm 6"3ish and i have my bars tipped fowards because they bend back to far otherwise
with the fuel you should find on the bottom of your carbie where the drain line exits there will be a screw, can use either phillips or flat blade to tighten it
make sure you don't overtighten the swing arm bolt tho as you can load the bearings up with to much side load. the spacers didn't seem good enough to ensure you only load inner race of bearing so don't go swinging off it, just a bit of lock tight and being it to firm.
How was your chain? it have any slack in it?

The oil should be replaced before you even start the bike the first time !!!

The oil that is in them is crap !!! Dip the tip of your pointer finger in some
of it !! It's gritty and if you rub your thumb and pointer finger together it will
start to disintegrate very quickly !! Then try the same thing with some
decent oil !!! you will be shocked !!!

i ran mine for about 1/2 hr before i changed it simply because i was going across to a synthetic based oil and i wanted the rings ect to have a chance to bed in which they struggle to do with real good oil. Also helped it heat everything up to make sure it all drained out.

I use Motul 1000 for the run in period which is mineral based.

I do 4 changers, 1 before starting, one after first days riding, Then 3rd days riding, Then 5th days riding.

Then after the 7th I switch to Motul 5100 which is Semi-synthetic..

and let me assure you, even after a warm up run to thin the oil you still don't get all the oil out when you drain it !!
you'd be surprised how much oil is still in there after you drain it !!

my chan was ok after a big ride it got really loose but i fixed that up when i did the small pull down

ive just bought a 140XR also... hopefully arriving today:D
i emailed the guys at pitpro and they said to only use mineral based oils as synthetic is not right for the clutch set up on the bikes, tell me how the synthetic based stuff goes man
