need a new fork seal

Hey fellas,
My mate blew a fork seal on his braapster pro and im just helping him out by asking where he can get some new fork seals. and what would they cost?

P.S im not sure what kinda front forks the braapster pros come with (pretty sure it isnt fast ace tho)

did he blow it from landing a huge jump or are they just suddenly leaking?

if theres dirt in there it will leak. might be worth popping the dust cover off and cleaning under the seal with a feeler guage (or tiny little hook)

He says it started to leak a little while after he landed and the oil is coming out the top of the forks because they are adjustable.

is anyone familiar with the front shocks on a braapster pro? and also have ya got any idea why the oil is coming out the top..???

wouldnt be the fork seals, cause when they go they leak from the seal.

on one of my old road bikes i had a very small ammount of oil come up through the thread of the preload adjuster when i had way too much fork oil in.

Hey fellas,
He says the oil is coming out of the silver adjuster on top of the fork when he compresses it.

might be worth taking the fork cap off to see whats wrong with it... not sure if there are any O-rings around the adjuster...

have the front wheel raised off the ground if you do, else springs and fork oil will go everywhere.

maybe speak to who ever he bought it off too

i have had the same problem! well i thaught it was leaking from the seals, but when i pulled them down i noticed the bolt on the bottom off the silver sleave had come loss... so tightened em up and it fixed em...

if it is comming out off there they have proberly rattled abit loss, alowing the seal to move which allows the oil to come out once it has been compressed
