need advice

hey everyone me and my friend are going to buy 125cc thumpstars from ebay and from what i have read lifan is the way to go.i was just wondering if they last because we dont want to spend our money on something thats only going to last a year?and i also have heard that the spokes brake fairly easy is that true?and if possable could anyone recemend us one.

The motors can last awhile if you take care of them. But if you thrash them out and dont maintain them you will have gearbox issues. Spokes shouldnt snap just don't ride with loose spokes.

i think motoluver covered it quite well.. if u maintain ur bike well then it should last a good time.. but remember some of the ebay bike arent built to jump esp with some of them frames.. so i would be doing some research on which bike u get first. and see what they can withstand.

I personally had a bike that was quite week and then i decided to pretty much replace everything on it so make it a ground up build. i replaced everything on it so it is a new bike now..

also remember the ol saying "u get what u pay for" so yeah just ride smart with it..

i am the smae as gody
bought a bike, found it weak so rebuilt it replacing everthing except the motor (still building it now).
but yes do your research and what not so you get a bike that suits what you are going to do.
and dont say your budget is 500 or something otherwise you are just wasting your time. atleast 900 to 100 bucks

You wont get much more than a year out of a china if you ride everyday.

Ive broken two lifan engines and Im on my 3rd, a maintain them well I just ride hard everyday, I just ride alot I guess.
