NEED HELP! buying new 50cc for 7yr old

i am getting a new 50ish cc for a 7 / 8 year old seat height is about 600mm max
been looking at a KTM replica on ebay(search it pls) i dont want to spend more then 1k also looking at QUAD Meerkat Kazuma
what can you all tell me and seguest to to look at or other bikes

if it were me i would try get him a xr 50 you sould be able too find one for under a grand and you can mod it as he grows out of it.

the ktm reps are **** but they go like stink for the first few rides.the 50cc cheapys are great we thrashed the **** out of one for about a year and its still going(not pullstart49cc).kazumas are ok.
