I came across this project while surfing Grab Cad, a site to share design data and ideas. Since I am a motorcycle enthusiast, mainly dirt bikes, it grabbed my attention. I am also a CAD designer so this project was extra appealing to me. I believe it is a great story to share in this forum since it is a startup North American dirt bike, fabrication, the latest 3D CAD design , 3D printing of parts such as the fuel tank and much more.

Welcome to Minirider's,

Yeah they do look alright, a bit too pricy for me though.
The designer/builder of them is a member here too, since 2009

They look good but the engine is sitting on a fair angle, pretty much halfway between a horizontal pit bike engine and a traditional upright motor. I just wonder with the oil pickup area in the cases being at the front lower section of the cases are they just filling them with more oil to get it to the pick up (risking oil level to creep up to the spinning crank) or have they modded the cases to draw oil from the back of the cases. Not only that, the drain plug being at the front of the cases you would have to tilt the bike/engine back to horizontal to change the oil

Yeah i'd be a bit dubious of the angle, for the oil pump to pick up oil at that angle the oil level at the rear of the engine would be about 1/2 " lower than the dipstick/filler
It'd definately get a bit of rod slap in the oil
Jonathan never mentioned anything about a modified oil pickup point that i can see
The 3D printed tank's were new last year, his previous one's were alloy
