do the stock atomik pro x 125 with the mikuni 25s come with 95 mains?

what are the advantages of putting a bigger jet in?

do you just take the stock yet out and put the new one in or is there drilling involved?

thanks

There is no advantage in putting a "bigger" jet in unless your bike is running lean at WOT (then a bigger jet will fix this problem). The advantages come with having the "correct" jet.

It is a simple job to change your jet you just need to buy a new one (or a couple of different sizes) and swap it.

it does run lean. sometimes it makes this spark sound then the revs drop and come up again.

also spark plug tip is white

tried hotter plug still no difference

militia did u get this sorted? i had the same problem so i just reemed out my jet with a oxy cleaning tip til it made a black plug and is alot better now but still misses a little. im curious to know what jet size works best with these bikes

Generally most cheap pit bikes come standard with a small main jet. The number will be stamped on the top of the jet. Any jet from 100-105 will help. But I think the 100-102.5 would be the go for your motor.

ok thanks. i havent got this problem sorted.

does anybody know if the round springy thing goes first then the rod or the rod and then the springy thing ontop holding the rod into place?

the bike will cut out and its hard to start.

ill mess around with it tomorrow but i have moved the clip and its got better throttle response, doesnt bog but as i said before its still stuffed.

what i meant before was does the needle retainer go ontop of the e-clip?
because i put it down the bottom then put the needle down and i can move the needle.

the retainer should hold the head of the needle so it doesnt move?

thanks

hey not sure if i got u exactly but u put ur circlip on the needle then sit it in the slide then push the lil spring clip/retainer onto it th hold it there. then put spring on throttle cable and compress spring so u can feed the cable thru the groove in the bottom of the slide and then the spring goes inside the slide and holds the needle down by pressure on the retainer. from memory anyway if i`ve forgotten anything

ok thanks now its working.

i have the clip in the middle slot.

bike is running worser than before im going to put it back to the second last one although id need a bigger jet to cancel out the problem.

Will i need to re-tune the carb if i put a bigger main jet in?

THanks
