Hi peeps,

Been on a couple of net forums or a while, perthstreetbikes.com and perth4x4.net. I am looking at buying a toy, well a mate talked me into it cos he is getting one to. Used the search function as we are both looking at pitpro 160 bigfoots, the threads that came up didn't bag them too much so was wondering what people reall thought. Alot of the usage will be in boggy sand up around wedge/lano just north of Perth. Alot of my mates had normal sized pitbikes but we all found the smaller tyres seemed to struggle just that little bit too much in the soft stuff. I ride a road bike on the track and road so not new to riding. Just after some thoughts on a first pit bike. Flame me if you want its all fun but really want something that is bigfoot size. Hence the pitpro 160 bigfoot. Let me know what you think

Thanks in advance,

BJ

Howdy m,ate welcome to miniriders...
im also pretty new to this ive had my pity for about 1 month and i got the atomik reign bigfoot 160cc
Its a great bike goes fast few problems and my mate has a small wheeled dhz 160 which is also a nice bike but he gets thrown around on the woops and bumps and i just cruise over them haha
but yer the atomik bigfoot i dont really have anything bad to say apart from losing my breather cap :( ( they $3) just make sure u tighen up all your bolts and lock tight a few up :)

Good luck
regards Jack

Welcome to Mini Riders mate.

Use the search feature up the top and type in pitpro 160. Should be a tonne of threads about the bike to help you decide.

New linkage suspension makes the newer mini bikes handle much better in the sand with smaller wheels. Combined with higher powered motor's (155Z, 175 ,202) can ge them to perform a lot better in sand.

Check this thread out for a build done for sand:

Hey Ozzypatrol, i'm the owner of the miniblitz in the thread Motorman linked above...
Having ridden the Miniblitz, the Atomik reign and the Pitpro 160 bigfoot, which incidentally is practically identical to the Atomik Reign, personally, i'd steer away from either the Atomik or the Pitpro..
Pitdrugz i'm sorry to burst your balloon, but the Reign and the Pitpro handle terribly. They have shocking geometry, and the ergos are very weird..... very bunched up around the bars and tank...
The steep steering head angle, coupled with short forks make it a real ''end-swapper"... ie: feels like riding a see saw.... Yes, the bigfoot wheel combination makes it ride over holes a bit better than a 14/12 bike, but compared to the Miniblitz, it cant hold a candle to it, and the miniblitz has much better suspension and brakes standard, and is much better suited to sand riding than either the Reign or the Pitpro bigfoots...
Whilst the Miniblitz is held back by the 125 engine, it STILL is a very fast bike owing to it's wheelbase, geometry, suspension, brakes and ergos... it FEELS like someone shrunk a big bike down to half-size, as opposed to the weird feeling of a pitpro or reign... When my miniblitz was running the 125, i added an OKO 26mm flatslide, and had no problems running with my mates all running 140 pitpro bigfoots, and the 125 still had a 100kph top speed, owing to the tall final gearing....
Since adding the 155z engine, it's turned it into a right weapon, heaps of punch for pulling around in sand, and enough legs up top to up the top speed to around 105-110kph... which is bloody fast for what is still a minibike...
The Miniblitz can be sourced from Cob and Co imports on Ebay, and the 125 version sells for around $940 delivered...
If it was me looking for a bike suited best to sand riding, i'd put my money on the Miniblitz every time...
Hope that helps..
This is a link to the bike on ebay...
