Newbie here...Need help with Suzuki jr50

I just bought this bike. I am thinking its like 2003 Suzuki JR 50. Not real sure how to date one exactly. And I want to turn it into a pit bike. Never built a pit bike before and was wanting some suggestions on what handlebars and mounts to get I want the high handlebars or maybe there is a way to raise the factory bars??? And how to stiff up the susepension to hold someone larger. I am new to the this game don't know where to get parts and stuff for these type things. Trying to keep the cost reasonable. Any suggested place to get parts would help too. Just give me a little coaching short story long I guess.

you could probably fit pro tapers to it... i dont know why you would bother when you can get a atomik nitrus 160 for about $650 online

Yeah modding a JR50 would be a lot of custom work and experimentation. No bolt on parts to make it rideable by adults, like there is for CRF50's and KLX 110's.

I would think it would be a waste of a JR50 to butcher it.
You would be best to sell it and buy a pitbike.

im 6 ft tho and would never ride it.... it would be something cool to keep up on the wall and ride around every now and again
