Well i have a 1980 Z50J, my dad came over and had a look at it (it wasnt starting).
we got it started and a short while after i got told to get octane booster, so i got it and being the impatient type, i wanna put it in.
now how much of it should i use?
i already have premium unleaded and he said to mix it with that.
i know that the bike tank is 5L.

DONT DO IT!

Octance booster will F**K your engine..................you have been warned.

mate you only need ordinary unleaded to run in a z50

no point

my z 50 has been running since 82 on all sorts of quality of fuel it doesnt even get premium now you cant kill those things

japan switched over to unleaded in 76 i think so just about anything after that SHOULD be fine to run on any unleaded fuels. wouldnt be hard to find out isnt the Z50 pretty commonly sought after surely someone would know.

pfft octane booster blowing engines omg some people are full of **** worst case scenario is a fouled plug

thats the only thing worth reading in this whole thread

i reckon octane booster would make standard unleaded 95oct anyway

he question for ya
do you remember when australia bought in unleaded petrol
o wait i should look that up hey

coolmodee it was 86 the switch.

If its a "leaded" Engine I prefer to run 95 with valve saver. So yeh bradsta you should run premo and if ur scared run some valve saver or whatever its called;)
My pitty i only run 98 pfft for a few extra cents per tank meh might as well Also I live in tasmania where what you pay for and what you get at the pump are 2 different things. Generally u can bet on ur 9 being more like 88-89 and premium being around the 92 mark...to most that wouldnt matter but when you run knife edge tuned turbo cars a few octane points can mean finishing a race and not finishing haha. Lol once i put 91(We only JUST got 98 rofl) into my car and spent the next 100ks home trying to get it on boost omg it was a bad trip car did not like it as it was winding back timing flat out to control detonation
