I bought this off road gokart frame with out a motor. I want to stick a 12hp small engine on it. However looking at it from the rear, the sprocket is going to be on the left side of the axel, and the clutch will line up on the right side. Can ii run a shaft and sprocket from the current sprocket over to the cluch side. End result being two chains and 3 sprockets20120915_150442.jpg

12hp will be heaps of power,
my old childhood minibikes the Deltek etc were 4 HP, they used to do about 50kph.

maybe try and flip the axle over, so the sprocket and disc sit the other way around.
may need to make a new caliper mount.

Is it possible to move the sprocket further along to the left of the axle?

Geared or not if not stationery Yamaha mz175 they r only 5.5hp but strong motor with low maintenance I use to look after 25 of em @ Harvey bay gokart track (u can imagine the s#hit they use to cop) although we had a 25hp Honda on a small tractor/mower and it was almost as fast as the karts!!LOL
