Okay so to make a long story short, I bought an orion 125cc bike last year for 40$. The bike didnt work when I got it which is why it was so cheap, it needed alot of work. Anyways after getting the engine back to working (lifan 125cc) it ran good for awhile. I put in a new piston and rings along with cleaning the heads. I didnt port or polish anything. One day I started the bike to ride and made it three feet before it died. So I pushed it back into the garage and tried to start it again. When I kick it the bike makes no attempt to start. I can hear the piston sliding around in the chamber but thats all. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas before I tear back into this? It does the same thing when I try to push start it also. Thanks

does it have compression? has it got spark? getting fuel?

there the first things to check out!!

Spark: Yes
Fuel: Yes
Compression: I dont know how to check that.

Any tips on going about that?

well firstly how does the compression feel on the kick starter. maybe compare it against another engine the same size...

bad compression can be from poor clutch adjustment in the clutch case, valve clearances, leaking head gasket or bad rings..
