Hey guys,
I would first of all like to say great site for all the z50 people down in Australia. I picked up this z50j a while ago because it had a compliance plate, so fingers crossed VicRoad will let me get it on the road, I sent the letter off last week asking for permission and they phoned up today asking what year the bike is. Also the bike is 6 volts. Any help would be great, and if anybody is in the same boat as me I would love to hear from them as well.
So these are my questions.
I think thats all the questions for now, I should get the letter from VicRoad in the next week they said, so fingers crossed ill be riding this baby around Melbourne in no time at all. I am sure I will have some more question if they say yes and then ill be in full swing to get it roadworthy.
Thanks
Nathan
Note: This is not a pic of me, one of my sisters friends that took it for a ride and its one of the only pics that was allready on the computer.

So these are my questions.
- What is the year of the bike?? Is it what is on the compliance plate?? If that is the case it say 12/80.. So 1980 right.
- As you can see from the pics there is alittle bit of work to be done to get this baby roadworth, when I am looking on websites what model should I be looking at. The plate says its a z50j
- The handle bars on the bike, are they stock or has a previous owner put them on?? Because I havent seen any pics with these on before.
- The tank is rusted through at the bottom, what can i do, is there something I can do to reseal the inside, or where is the best place to get a new tank.
