hey i was just wondering how reliable them little 49cc pocket rockets are on ebay like do they last long thinking of geting one to just cruize around or would i be better off to buy a bigger moto

there crap, my mates never goes.. always have to tinker with it........ get a bigger motor bike!! dont waste your money

depends how good you are mechanic wise, i have had about 5 of them. I went through a stage where i bought them off ebay broken, fixed them up and sold them for $50 profit. Everytime it was the carby that was stuffed. On mini quads its generally the clutch that goes first.

I bought one of ebay for $100 a couple years ago, i tinkered with it for a while now it looks like this.

Does about 80 km/hr with me on it, im 79kg and 191 cm tall

id say buy one, there good to learn on if your keen on bikes, learn about 2 stroke motors, carbies, bleeding/ setting up your brakes. thats why i got into them.

let me know how u go

i used to race pocket bikes, i started off with one of those and ended up racing euro bikes worth thousands of $$. the 49cc 'cags' are great to start with and will teach you alot about engines. if you are handy mechanically and know about the inner workings of a 2 stroke engine, you can modify it to the extreme and get it running reliably.

mine was an absolute ripper, i let my mates ride it while i rode my bike.

if you want to get into porting or modifying, i think i have about 15 brand new crank cases that im more than happy to do you a deal on.
cheers

yeah, get one, i got about 4-5 pocket bikes.. selling one this weekend for 400 bucks..

They are good fun, teach you heaps, if you get one the best thing you can get is a dremel, means you can mod it a heap for cheap.

port the carby, port the exhaust port, crank cases, snap off some of the flywheel fins, and stuff.. easy as to mod.

and they are pretty easy to maintain.
