hey everyone first off ive got to problems first problem 1) my bike is really crap in first gear its got no power at all u could beet it walking but second gear is fine and it makes a rattiling noise at low revs but its fine when you rev harder second problem 2) my hole front is loose and you can feel it jump up does any one know how to fix these problems??????? Thanks

1) Thats pretty normal for it to be slow in 1st gear, you may want to consider a bigger rear sprocket if you want more power and speed in 1st and 2nd gear.

2)You have to tighten up the stearing stem and lock tight it or it will come loose again fast. Take off the bolt at the top of the stearing stem and lift off the top of the tripple-tree then get a C spanner and tighten it as much as you can.

mines really really slow in first ive ridden my mates 125 and his has got way more power is there away i can like tune it or somthin and which bolt are u talkin about????

A bigger rear sprocket will make it even slower in first.

If it runs ok in every other gear it will not be a tuning issue its a gearing issue and sprockets are your answer.

There is a tread on here about "top nut on my forks" or somethin similar that will explain the front end issues. Try the search function.

hey thnks for ur help.......ive tightened that screw as far as it will go and its still loose and what sprocket do i replace front or rear and if i get one wat size????

get a 37 tooth rear..theyre on ebay so have a look. make sure it fits your axle tho ;)

thanks but is it better to get a rear sprocket or a front one????

umm it depends on the chain clearance at the start of the swingram. if you get a smaller rear sprocket the chain will have to go down at a steeper angle because the sprocket is smaller. so check that first if the angle is alreadya but steep then you get a bigger front sprocket...but im not sure which way it goes, like 1 toothe bigger on the front is equal to 2 less on the rear sprocket or something like that, correct me if im wrong.

ok thanks mate where do u get em from besides ebay i dnt hav a ebay account

One tooth on the front is equal to about 4 on the rear. You can get sprockets from ESD anf they have a good range.

You will also need to check the chain pitch (420 or 428) and the centre hole diameter and the spacing of the bolts that locate the sprocket on the hub.

I look at sprockets on ebay will show what measurments you need to take.

how do i buy stuff off them do u pay on delivery

You make an order and pay by direct bank deposit, I ordered some stuff including a sprocket from them and it came in one day! Good service!

are u talkin bout elstars or ESD??... is it possible to pay on delivery

ESD and no I don't think so, they send it to you via express post not currier.
