If it has the same frame as that then its an imitation, are the coutouts on the frame circles or squares??

But its strange, they are nearly exactly the same as the genuine thumpys, and according to the frame number, made in the same year as them (05), I think they could be from the same factory as the genuine thumps, according to cactus jack that frame is still very high quality billet alloy and not a cheap imitation, I'll see if I still have that PM or maybe he'll post here.

The frame even has the same holes drilled in for stuff like adding a brake piston for disk brakes.

Everything else on the bike is almost an exact copy.

Ive seen bikes sold by a european company called "starforce" who sell a bike with the same frame and instead of circles or squares cut out of the frame they have thier logo, star shaped holes cut out of it.

Apparently these frames are made in germany from machine rolled then treated T-6 alloy, so maybe dealers buy some and have a few custom preferences like a different shape cut out of it?

Seems like these frames arent made any more or somthing?? Havnt seen any new ones...

Anyway, so this bike this guy has doesnt have the thumpy logo engraved on the bar risers and has square holes in the frame?? I'd like to know the story behind these almost identical copies...!

Would be very good to ask him how where he baught it from and how much he paid!! I'd say buy it if its a good price.

maybe if you could be bothered...
id try just taking some good photos of it first and putting them up and see if you get any nibbles on it, just as a complete bike and then if nothing happening id parts it but you never know, put the right price on it and you might sell it in one hit but then still if you parts it your going to have to find maybe buyers

yes good answers guys

Yes , I told Flarry everything he says I did .........

yeah the rear swing arm is also a give away that it's not a genuine thumpy!!!

The U section is to thin !!

Here a pic of my mates genuine 05 thumpy he had a little while ago !!

He sold it through here but I think who ever it was that got it may have told him stories as I've never seen it on here since !! He was told that it was for a young boy that had been doing the paper run for a few years and had been saving all his money to buy this exact bike but he only had 1200 !! my mate fealt sorry for him and sold it to them for the $1200 (he wanted $1500) the kid was suppose to be so excited about getting it and even has a blown up pic of it on his wall.. but like I said he's never put a pic up on here, asked any questions, nothing !! are well !

Anyway, That frame and bike still looks sweet !!
